Who these terms are with
These terms are between you and Outclass Education Technologies Ltd (“Outclass”, “we”, “us”). Outclass and OxbridgeAI are trading names of the same company.
If your school, college or tutoring agency provided your access, their agreement with us governs the service, and these terms cover your personal use of it. Where the two differ, their agreement takes precedence.
What Outclass is, and what it is not
Outclass is a teaching and learning platform. It gives pupils practice with instant feedback, and it helps teachers with marking, lesson planning and reporting.
It is a tool for teachers, not a replacement for one. Nothing it produces is a professional judgement about a pupil’s ability, attainment or needs. Lesson plans, homework, tests and parent reports are drafts for a teacher to check and decide on, and the teacher remains responsible for what is set and sent. Marking and feedback during practice reach a pupil straight away, without a teacher checking them first, so treat them as guidance rather than a final mark.
Accounts
- Direct students. You may create your own account. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian to complete payment using the payment link in your account. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you tell us when you register.
- Teachers and tutors. You may create your own account, and you must be 18 or over to do so. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you tell us when you register.
- School, college and agency pupils. Pupils get access through their school, agency or tutor, who is responsible for deciding that a pupil should have it and for any consent that requires.
- Keeping your account secure. Keep your password to yourself and do not let anyone else use your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone has gained access to it.
- Leaving. You can delete your account and its data at any time from your account settings. If your access came through an organisation, they can also remove it.
What it costs
Individual learners receive a three-day free trial of access after completing student onboarding. The student or a parent can start the £39 monthly subscription through Stripe Checkout at any time, during the trial or after it. Paying during the trial starts the paid subscription straight away and ends the free trial. If nobody pays, access ends when the trial ends. The subscription costs £39 per month and unlocks the full catalogue: every subject we offer to direct subscribers. There is no annual plan.
No card is collected for free access and no payment is taken automatically when it ends. A student can pay from Settings or copy a Stripe payment link for a parent. Checkout asks the payer to accept these terms and to confirm they want immediate access, which means they give up the 14 day right to cancel that would otherwise apply to digital content under UK distance-selling rules. Paid subscriptions renew each month until cancelled through the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid. We do not refund that period, because the access has already been provided.
Individual teacher and tutor accounts are free to create and use. Creating those accounts does not take a card, and they do not carry a subscription.
School, college and tutoring-agency teacher and tutor seats stay owner-granted. We do not charge those organisations a card through this website. Schools, colleges and tutoring agencies are invoiced under a separate written agreement, and its commercial terms (price, term and notice) are set out there rather than here. If you have not signed one, you are not being charged as an organisation.
If we introduce a charge for a teacher or tutor account that is free today, we will say so clearly in advance and you will be able to decline it.
Using it properly
Please do not:
- Misuse other people’s access. Share your login, use someone else’s, or try to reach data belonging to another pupil, class or organisation.
- Attack or probe the service. Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to any part of it.
- Misuse the AI. Attempt to make it produce harmful, illegal or age-inappropriate content, or to bypass the limits placed on it. Pupil conversations with the AI are retained in school and agency workspaces so a teacher or safeguarding lead can review them.
- Take the teaching materials. Copy, scrape, resell or redistribute our questions, explanations or other materials outside your own teaching and learning.
Who owns what
- Your work stays yours. Work a pupil submits, and materials a teacher writes, belong to the pupil, the teacher or their organisation — not to us. We use them to provide the service and for nothing else, and we do not use them to train AI models.
- Our materials stay ours. The platform, and the questions, explanations and other content we provide, remain our property. You may use them for teaching and learning; you may not redistribute or resell them.
- What the AI produces for you. A lesson plan, mark or report generated for you is yours to use in your teaching. Because it is generated, it may not be unique to you, and we make no claim of ownership over it.
Accuracy, and what we do not promise
AI-generated material can be wrong. Marking can misread handwriting, an explanation can contain an error, and a report can misjudge a pupil. That is why every teacher-facing output is a draft for review, and why nothing is sent to a parent or assigned to a class without a person deciding.
We work to keep the service available and correct, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or withdraw features. Where a change materially affects an organisation’s use, we tell them.
Ending your use
You may stop using Outclass at any time, and delete your account from your settings.
If you have a trial or paid subscription, you can cancel future renewals from the billing page in your account, which opens Stripe's customer portal. Cancelling the subscription is not the same as deleting the account.
We may suspend or withdraw access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken — for example an attempt to reach another organisation’s data, or deliberate misuse of the AI. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will say why first and give a chance to put it right. Where an organisation provided the access, we will tell them.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, and our total liability to an individual user is limited to £100. Liability under a school or agency agreement is governed by that agreement.
If you rely on an AI-generated output without the review the service is designed around, that is a decision you have made rather than one we can stand behind.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When a change materially affects your rights we will update the date at the top and, where an organisation is affected, tell them directly. Continuing to use Outclass after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing here affects the statutory rights of a consumer.
